I have been geting this static noise that comes and goes for a few months.
I recently bought all new equipment hoping that would fix the problem and I wanted to upgrade. I got static noise with my old equipment and now my new home surround equipment. I use Hdmi cables and have took them out and used rca cables and still got the noise.
I have a karaoke,ps3,cable box and cd player all sitting around my receiver so I unpuged all other apliances incase of noise interfierence. I bought a new monster surge to try to help. Still get noise. I have a sony 7.
Everything is new except my towers speakers since the noise. But like I said I get static noise that comes out of every speaker.
I also got a new speaker wire. And I have checked all connections. Still I get the noise. I tried plugging into a different ac outlet across the living room but still got the staic noise too. It's an anoining static noise that just sound horriable. Can anybody help me please?Mi 9 global rom download
Thanks, John. Message 2 of 10 Dec 28, Video source? If so, try unhooking the cable feed into the box. I had rolling "hum bars" on the TV and could not figure out how in the world it was happening, well long story short it was the ground differential between the cable line and the house ground. Then try hooking up one source at a time to see if one will set off the noise. If that doesn't work, try hooking up each speaker at a time Message 3 of 10 Dec 28, Ya I tested all speakers.Deals Amazon deals Bargain threads Classified adverts.

New Onkyo Receiver - Popping out of the surrounds randomly?
It does stop when it is 'flicking' between sound modes for a split second but always comes back. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Genserve Try here and ask about your neuty.
Thanks, looks like somebodies mobile number. How will this help? Are they a reputable company? Sorry i should of explained. Genserve are Onkyo Affiliated and do in Warranty repairs. Woah, wait a minute! I sent the first post, so why is somebody else pretending to be me? Who is this Genserve?
I was going to call them tomorrow but not so sure now. Sounds like a rip off. Last edited: Nov 13, Thanks for the info, neuty. I called them today and they are picking up my tomorrow Cheers Brian.
You had any feedback, bjd? The nice lady I arranged it with gave me a reference number to use if I had any queries, and she said it would take 10 - 14 days to get the amp back, but it could well be sooner. If I haven't heard anything by the end of the week, I'll give them a call. Nothing yet They picked up the amp almost 3 weeks ago. They claim to be very busy, and perhaps they are if all the users are getting theirs fixed Brian.
I'll have to update mine when I get home. That's poor QC Last edited: Mar 22, But sending your new receiver back for repair is another story. TeamLeader Audiophyte. Thread starter Caplaur Start date Aug 29, Caplaur Audiophyte. Hi everybody, My Onkyo tx-nr receiver bought 2 months ago is making a loud buzzing noise when it's started. The buzzing decreases and eventually disappears after mins. If I shut down the receiver and power on again the buzzing starts again.
The noise is coming only from the receiver not from the speakers 5. Every time it's the same pattern, he buzzing decreases gradually but it takes about 40 to 50 minutes to stop. Any ideas what this could be? Thank you very much. Perhaps a transformer mounting issue?

Static continues even continues if I select one of the unconnected analog inputs. Turning on the Audyssey and Dynamic EQ seems to make it louder, but disabling these features does not eliminate the static. Muting immediately stops the static, but it typically returns when unmuted.
I just sat here for a while with the receiver on and an HDMI input selected that has no audio playing. Static came on briefly a couple of times over the hour-ish I was sitting around, and stopped without me doing anything.

I have a Yamaha receiver. I have no idea what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated, in the meantime, I can't do anything involved with the tv.

Prior to that, an Onkyo was thought to be bad with very slow start up times. It was only happening when playing back recorded programming or pausing and then hitting PLAY again.
